One Month.. ;)
one month!
I have to admit i never ever thought I would be able to be sober this long. its a great accomplishment. I love waking up with a clear mind, no anxiety and fully aware of life! its incredible. I never ever thought I could have fun or enjoy life without boot but I have to say its the best feeling and its only going to continue to get better.
I have made some new incredible friends that actual want to see me succeed and I del real love for once and love for them as well.
I have lost some friends because I don't path anyone with was one of my biggest worries, but over time i have realized that true friends don't go away because you simply don't drink…
I am going to continue to get heathy by stating back at yoga and the gym!
I love having control over my life for once, its incredible!!!
I can't wait for it to continue and for me to discover new things that I truly love
So grateful for this forum, yo guys have al helped me so much so far!
xoxo

Keep it up, mary. Please share on some of your strategies to stay sober. I'm on day 21 and I can't say I have cravings, but I do have a forgetfulness. I have to correct myself when I think oh maybe I'll buy some beer this afternoon and then I remind myself you can't, or you shouldn't. What helped today was listing why I stay sober. Interesting list. Not what I would have expected if I made this list a few months ago. For ecample, being more present for all people when they speak to me, building a better spiritual life, being a better dog owner.... Kind of weird and nice how sobriety has improved me as a person. So for everyone out there keep trying because your life can be better

Honestly, if I didn't have AA and NA I don't know that I would be bale to stay sober. I have made REAL friends in those rooms and have found REAL support. People actually care about me.
I also LOVE finding myself and dealing with even the bad feelings at least I know that I can deal with it without escaping it..
I enjoy remembering everything and not having anxiety!
