messed up again
i feel as though i shouldn't be writing.
im so ashamed.
i only made 12 days and drank again.
i start over again tomorrow.
every fibre of my body told me not to take that first drink.
and yet i did.
i didn't get smashed thankfully. i had about 11 cans of beer. dinner. and went to bed.
i know the next day will be full of agonising demoralisation. 1 millionth time.
can't seem to shake this..

don't know what you are doing (or not doing) for your recovery, but it isn't working. Time to step it up. Time to accept that you can't drink, can't do the things you did when you drank, go to the same places, see the same people.
Recovery is about change. What are you not changing? And what are you willing to do to get and stay sober?

drash, I know it takes a lot of practice ( at least for me it was ) to get Sober done right !! You will get there & stay there . 12 days isn't a walk in the park, do what you did then & add what's needed
doggonecarl has some great points . A lot of those I didn't follow through with

The only real failure is giving up.
And clearly you have not done that, you are here.
It can take a while to get sobriety right.
Lord knows it took me many times before I got a good stretch going.
So don't beat yourself up. Learn from what happened and get back on the wagon!

Drash, don't ever be ashamed. You're among friends who understand what you're going through. There aren't many of us who haven't had a similar experience.
What matters is that you wanted to come back & talk about what happened. It sounds like you learned something valuable. Maybe this will strengthen you & help you be stronger next time. Glad you are back!
