In my area and all I’ve ever visited all meetings start with the AA preamble which is a very short version of the traditions. I’ve been to several meetings where it was the topic of discussion and were very good meetings.
AA PREAMBLE
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

We had the same issue back in the late 1970's when our young people's meeting was causing quite a controversy in the local Inter Group when some addicts were showing up for meetings. Funny thing was that these complainers were not there for the meetings or business meeting. It was mostly second hand information. They sent a few people to the meeting to straighten us up.
What they found were a large group of young people trying to recover from the disease of alcoholism. Of course we were loud, boisterous, and sometimes irreverent, but we were immature youth starting to grow up. The funny part was a few of those there to put us in our place started showing up regularly to share in that youthful exuberance.
If anyone gives you grief, tell them you'll discuss it at the next group conscience/business meeting.
Oh, the meeting is still going on and some of those old recovered addicts still show up.
