It's gonna rain today!!
After 41 days of heat and dust. We are parched here in North Texas.
Kind of reminds me of how nature balances itself out. When things look absolutely bleak, the rains come. We are meant to go through times of drought and times of rain in our lives. It is a natural event. The trick is to realize that during these trying times, know that "this too shall pass".
I hope any of you who are hurting today will know that in time all will be well and balanced again. Have faith it will.

This morning on my way to work I noticed a young pretty girl behind me in her car. She was crying and the grimace in her face was heartbreaking. I sat there and wondered what it could be that was upsetting her. I felt guilty sitting there enjoying my music so I turned it down and prayed to God. The light changed and we went on our way. I turned the radio up and the song changed to Fix You by Coldplay. Then I found myself tearing up and crying myself.
Love you analogy in your post ArtFriend.
Lately in my recovery I have been realizing that life does unfold as it will... and if I am having a bad day or moment it will pass as long as I don't pick up that first drink. I am always right - it does pass.
I LOVE to watch the rain or a safe thunder and lightening show -- it does seem to clean the earth. Enjoy the rain today ArtFriend... then in a few days things will be a lot greener and have a burst of growth. It is great to be sober and appreciate nature and the things we take for granted.
Wishing you the very best!
