Apologies of zero
So I told her I had issues tonight, and I had expected - if not hoped for a volatile reaction.

I wasn't prepared for the indifference that I was met with.
I need to work on my ego.

Welcome, I'm not sure why you were hoping for a volatile reaction. But, I guess her indifferent attitude was a disappointment. Are you trying to stop drinking?

I wish to join a meeting of some sort, eventually.

Right now I just want to make the correct steps.

I think the most important steps have already been made.
The next ones are just to not stop moving forward.

Hello Militia - I am new too - nice to meet you.

It sounds as if the fact you have a drinking problem wasn't news to your gf, perhaps only news to you. It was certainly that way round for me too.
