so going to meetings starting tomm

a good friend of mine called me.Have known him since grade school,he took me to a few aa meetings when I wasn't serious and went there with a good head of steam on me ......anyway the progression is getting worse ......going to the meeting tomm then have one on Monday after work.....hope I get the right sponser...lets face it there are a lot of characters out there I will choose wisely like I ded with my wife.

It is great you have a friend you can go to meetings with. I went to meetings alone and I really hated it. I just stopped going to them. I got sober coming to this site. It is difficult to do this alone. I couldn't do it by myself. Good for you . Go for it.

Hi.
AA has helped millions get and stay sober and will work for most people IF THE TEACHINGS OF THE PROGRAM ARE WORKED.

This Said people do have a tendency to want to do things their way and often slip back to drinking and find at that point, usually because of shame, it’s very difficult to recover again.

Alcoholism is not a quick fix ailment and requires a lot of work and change for a healthy recovery.
The end results can easily be described as wonderful.
