Need bit of advice
Hi Micpaul, welcome to SR, I'm pleased you found this site.
I know when I stopped drinking I couldn't think of life without booze. It was an everyday occurrence, how on earth could I live without it.
But, it is possible and also, more importantly, how could we have lived with it? It ruled our lives, one way or another.
So, saying that, a day at a time with very small baby steps. Is what helped me.
Look around, gain experience and words of wisdom from the many wise, experienced people here who know what you're going through.
Congratulations on three months, brilliant acheivement.

We need to keep things simple, you've been Sober 3 months so you must be doing something right, take confidence in that, if you're not around alcohol, with no alcohol in your house, and you make it to bedtime, that's another day ticked off.
The reality is the more we build those Sober muscles the easier it will become, and when things get a bit tough I always found sticking close to support was a good way forward, SR was great for that, always here to keep me focused on the task at hand, to give me a second opinion on things when my mind was selling me the reasons as to why a drink would be a good idea!!
Great to have you onboard!!

Just wondering what advice yous would give I live on a small island were I don't want to go to meetings and seeing the same people on a daily bases were I live everyone knows everyone and I feel judged and looked down on when I'm trying so hard to move past the old me
Like I said, get involved here - become part of the community we're here 24/7.
Help yourself and help others too.
Be accountable to yourself.
There's some great ideas on recovery plans, meeting-based recovery groups (most have online meetings) and dealing with cravings here:
http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...at-we-did.html
the bottom line is, of course - don't drink no matter what.
Cravings pass, emotions pass, stress passes.
you can do this

As far as worrying about what people think about me?
I don't. I used to worry. Then I realized there was nothing I could do about other peoples' thinking. I just work on me. In time no one will remember you as a drinker. If you are locking yourself away, though, how will anyone know you've changed? It will take a little time, but people are very forgiving. If they aren't, that's their problem to bear.
