Ken -
Day three..horray! Keep trying, man! Just one more day - today. It is all addictive, either physically or psychologically - or BOTH! Heck, I know little old ladies who are addicted to cats. That may seem funny, but it is sad really. Anything can be addictive.
You keep -keeping on, OK?

Red face

You are doing so well Ken!!!!! Keep up the good work.

Quitting cigarettes at the same time could be a little bit much! But if you can handle it, more power to you.

Hang in there!

Hugs--

Hi Kenman,

Well done, day 3... I'd love some statistics of how many people manage 1 day, 2 days , 3 days etc. I bet 3 days takes you well up the scale... I bet someone here has it at hand...

Don't give in now...

Deg.

Hi Kenman,
Congratulations again for making it to DAY 3! I wish I could give you a 21 gun salute. You're doing awesome. Don't let anything take your resolve away. Your 16 hours and 4 minutes into it from where I am so DAY 3 is almost history.
Here's a little inspiration for you.

Kenman ,
Here's a hug to help you through it. I know first hand that pot is addictive, and I can identify with being miserable the first few days without. But this too shall pass. Just take it one day at a time. You can do it.

Sherry

Congratulations on the 3 days.

As far as the ciggarettes go... 3 days is the turning point for them. It takes 3 days for your body to be nicotine free. You have reached that at 3 days.

As far as attitude, being mean... You know that may happen and I know it does as well. Talk with those around you to warn them but also talk with yourself and try to keep it at minimum.

Keep up the good work.

I remember feeling irritable when i quit smoking. One hour at a time. one minute. It's your body getting rid of the toxins. Your mind cleaning itself out. If it isn't rattling you, it isn't working. get yourself some really good de-tox tea and some cough drops. (hall's honey and lemon)
you're doing just fine. Irritablility is the sound of those demons dying!!! hang in there and let me know if you to talk...

Hey Ken..I have been thinking about your day and wanted to also add that my friend quit smoking last year by going on a complete detox diet. Cleaning out your system, nervous, digestion, respritory...all of it will help make the transition alot easier. Go on google and look for detox diets to find one that may work for you. Changing your eating habits can really help you get through this difficult time. I wish I had known about detox diet when I quit smoking, I wouldn't have destroyed two of my teeth eating cough drops!!! (they helped me breathe better and who wants to smoke with a cough drop?) anyway...good luck and keep up the good work!!
