Welcome to SR, swift. I highly suggest joining and actively participating in the Class of August 2015 thread found on this same forum. It's a great way to learn from and help others who are also in early recovery.

Hiya swift and welcome.

There is always time to make positive changes, and the damage stops with day 1. Each day without using / drinking is a day of healing. They add up. String a bunch of them together and you start to have recovery. Anyway, that's my Plato moment. Lol.
