I think I want to try quitting again. I have been ignoring common sense and this forum for a month now. I know better but choose to just autopilot and get drunk every second night. I physically can't drink every day but seem to have managed every second night just fine. I need to grow up and stop living a life based around when my next drink is. I worry all day and night that ill wake up jaundiced one of these days. My av convinces me that day off between binge drinking helps my liver...unreal. Looking back at my old posts, I feel like I don't even know that person anymore...the person who used to atleast fight the AV and try to reach new milestones.
Hi Scared the easiest way to stop drinking is to stop drinking sounds easy right ?
Your going to have to give it everything if cravings hit stay on sr build a plan and stick to it it is seriously hard but if you want it bad enough youl do whatever it takes
We'l help you every step of the way
My advice is break the chains and give your everything to staying sober

Scarred, sounds to me like a much tougher life than just quitting completely. It also sounds like a lot of work. Can't be easy for you. I really hope you can find the strength to totally quit. It really is much easier than what your doing. John
Hey Scared, we have to get off the alcohol merry-go-round, drinking, hangover, day off, drinking, hangover, day off, it goes no where but provide more and more misery as time goes on.
I went round and round in circles for a long time, the reason being my auto pilot and my default was to never put up much of a fight, my addiction had me sold on all the myths and fairytales it could get away with and until I said no more, got a plan of action in place nothing changed.
You can do this!! Take control of your life back from alcohol!!

I'm glad you're back Scared.
I know we've spoken of recovery plans and finding more support before - read around and find out what others are doing...find a way that makes sense to you and do it man

Hi Scared, glad you're back.
Alcoholism really does get worse unless we stop and it seems like you're finding this out. You're here and you know you want to stop drinking and that's great. You have lots of support.

Thank you everyone. I am going to try abstinence once again...for the millionth time. However this time I am going to read some psychology books and really start to understand things about my brain.
I need to feel accountable to someone besides myself. If I drink, I want you all to yell at me!
