Day 3.... powering thru it:)

Tossed and turned all night but had no choice but to come to work and also don't have a choice about tomorrow or the next day either. I thought i would feel a lot worse after very little sleep. Today has been up and down.
My emotions are all over the place but mainly good. I'm concerned about tomorrow but at least i have a helper who knows what's going on.
Kind of a boring post, sorry.

I am newly sober too and am having sleeping problems also. I figure just lying there with my eyes closed is better than a passing out sleep. I have been so tired in the daytime but at least not hungover..We can do this

Great work Peanut,

I was surprised at how "okay" I felt after two or three hours of sober sleep. It was actually better than eight hours of drunken sleep and a hangover. Isn't that funny?

Once I couldn't sleep at all one entire night in the first few days, hopped in the shower, went to work, and still felt better than I did with a hangover.

I've been sober for about two weeks now. I cannot believe how great good sleep feels.

Thank you everyone!

It's the end of the 3rd day and i made it thru the day. I'm wondering what tomorrow will bring but I'll find out in the morning. I'm coming off of prescription opiates so i don't know how getting sober from alcohol feels. It sounds tough.
We're all in the same boat tho eh?
I still can't believe I'm posting with the sober people! Yay!
all in all, it was a good day. I'm not sure how I'm going to sleep as i feel amped tonight. Going to give it a try!
Good night!

I believe you are at the critical point (physically speaking), once you get 1-2 more days, things hopefully will really start to feel good. Sleep and appetite being the ones I always appreciated the most.

Day 4

Getting ready for work. I slept a little last night. I'm lethargic as heck and achy. Also, my thinking is not clear and my speech is slurred. (That is something new). It's not that bad. I'm hoping it doesn't get any worse. I think today will be a turning point.
I'll post thru the day when i have time.

Lunchtime

Today has been a bit rough but I'm doing it. The withdrawals from suboxone are quite different than anything I've ever experienced.
They scare me for some reason. Maybe because I'm not sure what to expect.
Just like yesterday the longer the day goes by, the better i feel. I have to constantly keep pushing myself and trying to stay focused on other things otherwise I'll get wrapped up in myself and that's not a great place right now.
I have no cravings but I'm sore all over like I've just started a new workout.
Lunch is over
Will post later.

Work day is over

Work is done and I'm feeling it. I ran out of gas and I'm done for the night.
Got a new recovery book that i ordered so I'm going to settle in for the night and educate myself!

Somebody wrote...id rather have 1 hour of sober sleep over 12 hours of drunk sleep. I believe it.
