80 days
80 days
80 days no booze. Drinking hard for 40 years. Quit for work here and there. But, decided it was time to quit for good. Anxiety and foggy. Low blood pressure. 120/80. Feels weird. Glad you all are here. Feel a little better each day. Stronger than ever. I quit smoking 10 years ago. Time to turn the page on booze. Prayers for all of us that struggle with alcohol.
Wonderful news, D122y. 'Time to turn the page' - I like that.
I drank 30 yrs. & never imagined letting go of it. Even though in the end it was making me sick & miserable, I still feared what life would be like without it. Can't believe I clung to it for so long. It's amazing to be free. Good to have you with us.

D122y, welcome!! 80 days sober is fantastic!!!
I drank for 40 (!!!) years, too, with one prior kick at the sobriety can for 6 yrs; relapsed for the past 22 years and now I am the proud new owner of 6 months and 26 days of sober life!
We are in this together

Welcome to SR, D122y! Sunday, July 27, 2015, was also 80 days sober for me. That makes us sober twins of a sort. There's a ton of great wisdom and support to be found here, hope you'll check in regularly!
