It's all part of coming off alcohol, to have intense emotional swings. It will level off - but it took me a few weeks away from alcohol. It's just part of the process of your nervous system and brain healing.
Hang in there - don't pick up that first drink - no matter what!

Glad to hear that Catrina18. Welcome to SR.
I don't have any personnel experience with meds, but want to applaud you for getting the help of your doctor to help you through this phase.
It was a bumpy ride for me in the beginning too but sobriety is worth going through this stage. Let us know how you're doing.
