Grateful for sobriety
I'm 8.5 months sober. I log onto SR several times a day to read. I don't post much, but that's okay because part of my own sobriety journey has been learning to be quiet and listen.
I don't have a lot to say today, but as I was thinking about my life and sobriety this afternoon I felt prompted to log on to tell you that whoever you are and whatever stage you may be at that sobriety is completely worth it. Sobriety is the gift that just keeps on giving.
This is really hard work, but if are willing to roll up your sleeves and get down in the trenches and face your life head on with honesty and determination then you are going to discover or rediscover a whole new world that you never knew existed or that you thought was lost to you forever. I promise you that the magic does come back.
Best wishes to all.

Hey Lance
Nice going on 8.5 months!
I couldn't agree with you more - it is hard work, but I'm discovering that my sober self doesn't mind the effort. It's great not being on the crazy train anymore, right?!
