Call for help
Call for help
I've been loitering on this forum for over a year. I'm not here tonight majorly hungover or desperate. I haven't got a drink drive offence or just woken up in a police cell. I am however close to it. I drink a bottle of wine every night sometimes more. I go to work every morning wishing I was in rehab. I have a v demanding job looking after special needs children which I love and which I can never phone 'sick' in to. I am a single mum with 2 children. I love my life. I am also slowly and systematically destroying it. I have cancelled 2 social events this week. I know what I'm doing. I'm withdrawing. I know i can't drink tomo. It starts with day 1. Hope you all help me in the next few days. I'm ready.....

Welcome, great decision you've made. Have you heard of a book called "The Sober Revolution - women calling time on wine o'clock". I can highly recommend, written by two women and at least one of them a single mum. Have a look at some of the reviews on Amazon, I felt it really got to the heart of us women drinkers and offered some really good support to change.

Good for you Brighterlife !! Welcome , Nice user name it will get Brighter Best time to start before you get any deeper. I waited too long and didn't pay attention to the warning signs . I did get picked up DWI tossed in jail - felt so ashamed when I was fingerprinted and they called my son to pick me up .
