Day 8

I wanted to update since everyone has been so helpful.

Third day of IOP (Is that what it's called?). It's been going well. Haven't had any cravings.

Curiously, at my first IOP appointment, as I was leaving, he told me he forgot to do something. He brought out a breathalyzer (sp?). He said it's random and common. I was so happy to have blown a 0.00. I know it sounds stupid because I knew that I'd had nothing to drink, but seeing it there made me super proud because on almost any other day in the past x months, I would have blown a number at almost any point.

Off I go again today, this time with the husband. We will be discussing the my 20 page questionnaire.

The best part is next week, I take my whole family in and they have a seminar on the biology of alcoholism to help family understand it's not some immoral choice, funtimes, etc. I've told you all my husband thinks it's all in my head and stems from a place of nonsense. They are also going to talk with my family privately afterwards and explain the science behind it.

MOre later. thanks for listening!

Great work notgonna!

Keep going. IOP can teach a lot. Find what works for you and do you best.

It is possible to stop. It is possible to stay stopped. There is a lot of life after alcohol!!
