Good morning everyone.

Looks like rain here. Whatever the day brings, I'll face it sober. I'm glad the grand opening went well Della. Sao, slippery jogging must take a lot of concentration.

Brain, a path straight up. That's something to be proud of. Your reward was the blueberries. What a find.

I'm headed to a meeting to meet up with friends.

Congratulations on 3 years Freefall, an amazing achievement

Your making me hungry Della

My Lancia engine has come back from having things done to it. I have a manual but I think it was for Lancia mechanics who already know what goes where. Progress is S-L-O-W to the point of madness.

More people seem to have heard about it, I have had a few visitors nosing around. This is basically a large garage converted into a small workshop, I will have to consider improving security soon I suppose

Sunday morning...my absolute favorite. I have nothing that I have to do except putter around the house. Have a friend coming for early dinner later.
my kind of day-feeling good.

Hey all ,
still blooming coughing !
Mex -m8 has gone to the historic tram day in fleetwood , i've decided to stay home with the cat and potter about doing nothing very much .

I kinda like one day a week where i don't need to go outside my front door , have food in and just enjoy snuggling down .

With sobriety moods pass quicker , so you can usually count on tomorrow having a different emotional landscape .

As people said earlier i never woke up in the morning glad i'd drunk to excess the night before and it always was to excess eventually .

Hope everyone has a calm sunday ,

Regards , m

Good morning sober people!! I've already been up for hours, I just require less sleep when now that I'm no longer trying to sleep off last nights debauchery. Cooking up some bacon and chocolate blueberry pancakes for my boys. Later in the day we will all go swimming, not sure where yet, either at the beach or the local pool.

What is everyone else up to today?

Phoenix from the ashes

Hello people!

Well finally I didn't go out last night...didn't feel physically up to it. I made dinner and I was going to watch a movie.....but then a strange low emotion hit me..I don't know what it was, just a low vibration. I remember hearing something like 'your emotions are neither right or wrong, they just are'. Anyway, I think it came from not leaving the house for the whole day.....maybe my body needed that but that's the last time I stay in like that! Not healthy......if I remember it was Wayne Dyer who said "staying cooped up in the house is a vote for self-emnity". I agree.....at least for me.

After I eat, I'm going on a mega walk and cycle.....shake the cobwebs off and hopefully sleep tonight!!!!! Although difficult either way with the heat....

Enjoy the last day of the weekend!!!

And, right over her Shoulder is the Romper Room 'Do Bee'.

No wonder my Life took the path it did. DoBees were even a part of my Childhood.

For the uninitiated, a 'Don't Bee' was the other image; just out of the Picture to the right. This was a lil bit of Childhood Behavior Mod where 'good' vs. 'bad' Behaviors were emphasized in a bit of very low key Instruction on how we Wee Bastids were supposed to behave. 'Do Bees' shared their Toys. 'Don't Bees' were selfish with their Toys. Of course, all this was long before the solution to rectify some Kid selfishly keeping his Toys was to pop a Cap in his Azz.-)

Prevention is better than cure

....oh and I received a whatsapp message today...

"hey what's a good cure for a hangover, apart from continue drinking, I'm dying??!!!"

Yes the pendulum must swing both ways my child...

I suggested some water with lemon and time and fresh air if possible...

And it made me think of my new personal hangover cure, which I didn't share with her: It's not drinking.

It's worked quite well today.

Good morning y'all!

I want to see tall ships and walk the plank!!

On leaving the house...I crave alone time but it's a balancing act because too much of it leads to depression. Just getting outside usually lifts that though. Sounds line you're right on track Kerry James.

Glad your dinner went well Della!

I woke up kind of panicking about the future. Stuff I can't control....but also stuff I can and worrying I'll make the wrong decisions. Nothing to drink over, but still unsettling. Actually the first thing I thought of was where's the oxy or the hydro or the Anything! Im learning to just sit with it but it kinda sucks.

Oh, never saw romper room but looks creepy!

I vaguely remember romper room and the magic mirror, but my mom loves to tell the story of the time the romper room lady was looking through the magic mirror and said....'and there's Mark, still in his pajamas'. Well I was still in my pajamas, so I ran and hid behind a chair. I think I'm still traumatized by the memory.

Neat! What model Lancia does that block call home?

Reminds me of when I rebuilt my Moto Guzzi. With Italian bikes we have a saying: "If it makes it go faster it's made of forged unobtainium, otherwise it's painted pot metal." Love 'em, and have scars on the back of every knuckle to prove it.

you think the Romper Room lady was creepy? Get a load of this guy...
this guy would be arrested in today's nutty world...

weed wacked and cut some grass after I 'fixed' the threader. I spent over an hour washing the jeep yesterday only to find a HUGE bird splatter on the bonnet. Sweating profusely - cooling off actually with a wet t-shirt.
Then it's back out again... pumpkin vines are wild and crazy - I see a bag full of vines in my future.
Is it hot up there Della?

It's crazy hot. I did your trick with the ceiling fans and air so it's quite comfy in here. But I like to be outside in the sun! I can manage my deck for a few minutes then have to come in to cool off.

This is good stuff, Trees And quite inspiring. I am one who tends to isolate, naturally, so this is something I want to keep in mind. Thanks for the reminder.

Great progress, Brynn Might not feel like it is, but it is. Sitting with it, imo, is necessary and inevitable, and it's the critical part where old habits are "undone" so to speak, to be modified into new habits.

Afternoon Weekenders!!

Haven't been up to much today, been taking it easy, I was at a training course for work last week, and it must have been all the travelling but needed a good rest, my sleeping was a little longer than usual this weekend,

Anyways, the cricket has just ended and the golf is now on for the evening!!

Soon to be heading into the kitchen to see what I can cook up for this evening, no ideas as yet, but I'm sure it'll come to me!!

Let's keep it Sober!!

for the heck of it I looked up my 'stay' times on OSHA site.

heat index is 114 F ( about 45 C). I'm supposed to not be outside - or work for 15 minutes and rest for 45 minutes in cool area.

I used to have to calculate stay times for people I sent out on jobs... this was inside a power plant of course. But heat is heat. I have 3 gatorades in the freezer... just ate a drumstick and suppose I'll head outside again...
