I'm very surprised about this
If my math is correct, it has been 51 days since I last drank. What surprises me is that it feels like I had my last "drunk" about 2 weeks ago, not 7. I am feeling all of the physical benefits everyone talks about, but the mental/psychological benefits are a very welcome reward. As a result of this, my productivity has measurably increased. Even though I have had one problem after the next, I/we keep chugging along. This would have been very hard before. And yet as we all know, the problems would still always have been there in the morning. Now I just assess them, figure out a solution, and move forward with little hesitation or fear. Its pretty cool overall. Downtime is truly downtime, I can read something I enjoy, I spend time here, I'll watch some sports and remember who won the next day. I always told myself when drininking that I was "decompressing", it wasn't true. I decompressed for about 4-6 hours and afterwards things were as bad or worse than before. That doesn't happen now.
So anyway, 51 days. Nothing to brag about, but wasn't sure it would happen.

Well done Jeff!!!
I hit one month (depending on how one calculates) about one hour ago. It is only a month but I am grateful. It has actually gotten more difficult rather than less the past couple of weeks for reasons I don't understand. I'm inspired, after reading your posts for weeks, that you did it.
Your story inspires me.

Hi Sadie, I don't recall the post and am sorry if it was harsh or direct, but if you benefited from it, hey, it must have been ok, right?
