Welcome Porcha, you mentioned something about "well, I'm not as bad as that person". We get it. And in many cases it may very well be true, but it progresses getting a little worse each time, and then the next you know, the only person you are "not as bad as" is dead or dying. I believe knowing you have a problem and a desire to do something about it are half the battle. Good for you. As far as regrets while drinking.....we all have em.

Porcha - I'm so glad to meet you. This is a wonderful place for encouragement as you begin your new sober life.

I turned into the exact opposite of myself each time I drank. I was doing scary, embarrassing, & dangerous things. It was so good to get free of it. You will do this.
