Alcoholic Hepatitis - please help

Hello Everyone.

Sober now-after having been diagnosed with moderate Alcoholic Hepatitis. It's been almost 4 weeks now and I am still experiencing symptoms-mainly nausea from time to time. When the nausea comes, it is terrible. Has anyone out there had Al Hep? If so, how long did it take you to recover and feel better? I am getting worried and thought I would feel a lot better by this point in time.

Thank you very much.

A close friend had hepatitis and goes to a doctor. I don't know the name of the new med but it's expensive and he just announced his hep is gone.

I haven't had it. I'm afraid.

I'm sorry for your pain. I hope you're working closely with a doctor and that you get well soon

Probably a good idea to stay close to your doctor until these symptoms pass. Any chance you could be pregnant? Just a thought.

I was diagnosed with acute alcoholic hepatitis, among many things, after my last run. It went away after about a month. I was being monitored closely by doctors and medical professionals, first in the hospital and then in rehab. I had workups and blood tests every few days that first month. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your doctor and get checked out.
