Primary care Doctor today

After the shrink fall out; reading the 1in500 side effects; & the $235 prescription, I decided to make an appointment w\ him. I have my 6yrs of Boston records to give him as well.

I figured I need input & trust him, vibes are good. Best option I could think of since my brothers are out of town.

Wish me luck

Dennis

My name is August West, and I love my Pearly Baker best more than my wine.
More than my wine - more than my maker, though he's no friend of mine.

Good move - get your doc on-side because he/she can provide great support.

He's part of the problem. I trust no medical personnel now b\c of this.

I used to think like that sometimes you can ask for a Dr who has years of experience you might have to wait a tad longer for an apt but itl be worth it Dennis

What exactly happened

I'm on borrowed time. A have a hearing in August for my disability. I'll just wait for the suicidal thoughts side effects to kick in & then say Ohhh how brilliant. It's all about money in the medical game.

Stuck me on anti-anxiety meds that take a month to work. Has side effects of sucidal thoughts, depression, panic attacks. Won't give me anything for pain until I see a pain specialist; yet I can't leave the house w\ out having a panic attack.

Sorry Dennis you have to wait, ive had to wait months for my therapy apt i suffer with anxiety & depression the important thing is your here and your doing this for you

Its better than nothing at all as you know you'l eventually get seen, in the meantime stick close to SR ... why not participate in more threads to lessen the suicidal thoughts & take full use of this link http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...ease-read.html

I remember when i first met you we spoke of the books Rashomon & hagakure i was waiting on mine being delivered & you were telling me you had read hagakure

So

How about a new book ? start writing a daily journal & gratitude lists for what you do have anything that will help i suggest you use & that includes if you ever want to talk just send me a msg Dennis spk soon friend

Your brain is spiraling Dennis. You're thinking yourself into a hole.

There's nothing wrong with medication if you need it. 1 in 500 change of a certain side-effect means there's a very small change you may get it. And if you do, there will be another solution.

Don't worry about the vibe thing. I think you're scared out of your mind. Which this looping yourself into a bad mental place is based on.

I feel for you. I really do. But think clearly and keep it simple: go to shrink, take meds as prescribed. No worries. No fear. No excuses based on those. I know it's easier said than done. But you're running into a wall while the solution is simple: go to shrink, take the meds.

Wishing you everything you need.

Don't worry about being harsh. I'd rather know how you're really feeling instead of you holding back.

You're fed up. Maybe feel defeated. I would understand if you feel that way. But going with the ideas those feelings give you is always a mistake.

I'm glad you're taking the meds. See what they do. Maybe things will be a whole lot better in a month. That's not that long you know.
