Hi all, I've never been to a chat room before but have read a few posts and you all seem supportive.
I've been battling a drink problem for about seven years. I went through a medical detox a few years ago at home and stopped for nearly two years. For about the last year I have fallen off the wagon and started to get into serous situations while drinking.
So I decided to stop again. I haven't been to a health professional as it takes ages to arrange so I have just gone cold turkey. Feeling ok to be fair. I've had a bit of anxiety and headaches. I keep pulling muscles which is a bit weird. Anyway that's my story. Hope to hear some others.

Welcome, IronLady! I think that this is an amazingly supportive and helpful group. With members all around the world, there is just about always someone here. You might want to check out the July 2015 newcomers' thread - these are folks who are just starting their sober journey. I know you have done this before but we have people who have been sober and slipped that find that helpful, too.
Welcome and I'm glad you posted.
You had two years sober so you know how to do this and it sounds like you're ready to do it again. 48 hours sober is great. Do be cautious with your detoxing as it can be dangerous. Hopefully you will feel better soon.

Hi Ironlady, I will just reiterate what has already been said, this site is extremely supportive and educational. Congrats on recognizing things were slipping away and have decided to do something about it.
