Lego building with the kids. Ice cream and a movie. Sit on the patio and have a non-alcoholic drink from a list on buzzfeed: 23 non-alcoholic mocktails/cocktails to drink instead of booze. (Hopefully, NA mock tails are ok when we are in recovery and being sober.)
Figured relaxing and talking WITHOUT alcohol with my wife was in order.

Been a long week. I'm pooped. I've got the Nationals/Orioles baseball game on. I'll have some ice cream, walk the dogs, then go to bed.
And with luck I'll get an hour of extra sleep in the morning.

Nice night here....took the dogs for a walk. Decided the usual walk wasn't long enough and did the whole walk again. That felt good!
Dogs were happy, I was happy.....
Making dinner, watching a movie then off to bed!
One thing I have discovered on this sober journey is that I don't really care about night activities like bars or parties. I just like to relax and rest up so I can pile on the daytime activities....
I like daytime better! And no urges for alcohol....

I picked up the hamburger special with a side of potato salad and a diet coke from the local diner and I'm now sitting in bed watching Netflix. I'm also hoping to get a little more sleep in the morning.

I almost caved tonight too I'm glad I didn't. Work was so hot and just aggervating all I could think of is a cold beer. But I didn't instead I'm enjoying my Friday night sober and will be rested tomorow even i go bed late tonight I won't be hungover and throw my whole day away. My son's going to enjoy that as well . We'll actually do something instead of staying in the house all day because of my pounding headache and feeling like death.
I could see peace instead of this

The hot weather got me thinking too much about cold beer or wine out on my deck, so I texted my new AA friend instead and we went for coffee and then a speaker meeting. That was 2 meetings together today and then there's an AA barbecue tomorrow!

Just got home from a really filling dinner at a Brazilian BBQ place. I'm soooo full, I don't even feel like drinking....yet.
Posting at the moment, I just hope I can find something to keep my mind occupied. The nervousness about drinking/not drinking is upon me.

It's been so hellishly hot where I'm at that we've all just kind of been loitering around inside the house playing video games (I suspect that's not the best use of our time, but...y'know).
We went outside for a short bit to play with my son in the kiddie pool and use the sidewalk chalk on our walkway, and now I'm just sitting on here, had a cup of coffee instead of a glass of wine or beer (it might keep me awake later, but it's worth it if it hits the spot as a "treat".
A rather uneventful night, but a night without alcohol, so that has to be a good thing.

Sober friday
I finally went out to eat about two hours ago from being bed ridden for two days, taking it slow. I was invited to grab a drink but I know it wont be just one, so i declined. Happy friday everyone, much love...🐞
