If helps at all, your workouts will really improve once you get sober. I'm sure other gym folk will confirm this? I can't believe how much progress I'm making compared to the efforts I was trying to make whilst drinking.
I also relate to the tough home life and loneliness and I've buried myself in 30 years drinking. I'm about to reach 100 days sober tomorrow. YOU can do it too!
Good luck x

Time to change up your routine, I did the same thing for a long time, I expected things to change with simply good intentions and willpower, and nothing did!!

Instead I needed to get radical in my actions, get proactive and make Sobriety work at all costs!!

You can do this!!

I am amazed that you can still make it to the gym. Once I started drinking after work I am "off to the races" so to say. many times I left dinner half cooked until 11pm until I had finished all my stock of booze. Then I would eat, pass out, go to work the next day hungover and count down the minutes until 5pm and start the whole routine again. madness.....

I don't know how you go to the gym after drinking. That is insane to me. I think there was one time I drank and then went to the gym and I got really dizzy and that was the end of that... lol. I also don't know how you drink 16 beers and get up and go to work the next day. Either way 20 a day is roughly around 3000 calories... depending on what type of beer you drink. You can definitely quit and if you keep up your gym schedule you will look and feel amazing. I'm rooting for you.

Good to meet you Hunter!

It's good you're taking a hard look at what those beers are doing to your life. It sounds like you have some decisions to make about your future - and being numb/foggy isn't in your best interest. We know you can break the habit and have a better life.
