Terminology
 

I might have too much time on my hands but.....I've been thinking about the difference between quitting drinking and stopping drinking... ... Stopping feels more permanent to me ....quitting sounds like a for now statement. So no....I didn't quit drinking......I stopped.

I used "retired" made it sound like I earned it.

I never thought of that but stopped does sound more permanent. Retired is good too

How about I don't drinking. LOL

Sorry it's the end of the day and I couldn't resist.

I prefer I live a sober life.

It focuses on what I have gained, not what I have left behind. :)

I see it as getting sober. It's a gain not a loss. :)

I became a non-drinker.
