Happy 4th of July!
 

I feel very patriotic today. I am so glad to have lived my life in this great country of ours and to have been afforded so many many opportunities that other countries don't offer. I take my US citizenship for granted most of the time, when I really shouldn't. I was "lucky" to have been born in Michigan, thereby securing my citizenship here.

I think of some of the other countries that are struggling with war, famine, extreme corruption, terrorists... it breaks my heart. I live in a safe (relative to these other countries), pleasant environment that is replete with stores of all kinds, restaurants, entertainment, etc. I am free to travel anywhere I want, without impediment. I am free to worship anywhere I want without fear of reprisal. I am FREE.

Happy Birthday USA!

And thank you to all the service men and women now and before that have made my freedom secure!

I am not from the US but I had a great 4th of July. My first granchild was born today!

Awesome! We had one born a few days back - I nick named her 'Merica!
