Holiday Edition Stay sober Weekender July 4th
Bimini....I didn't recognize you for a minute with your new avatar!
This is the earliest I've gotten up in a while. I'm stressed about some boundary issues and worried about upsetting people and can't sleep. This is ridiculous. Ugh! I've got to resolve this issue or I'm going to go crazy. It's the indecision of what to do....how to word things without offending.....that's got me stressed and of course worrying about the reaction. I've got a headache.
Congrats on 60 days Casey!
Happy Tuesday y'all!
Xoxo

Hi everyone -I'm happy to be back home...although it was one of the best 4th of July weekend s ever.
welcome escapist! I hope you join us again next weekend.
the dogs want their walk since they haven't been in a while. I didn't get home til midnight last night...yawn. luckily I only work half day this afternoon.
I will not go near the scale for a few days. ALOT of emotional eating. I need to work on that.
see you later.

Good day weekendextenders!!!
Well done Casey!
Trying to get the week started. Woke up too early this morning, so feeling my energy levels lag somewhat. I don't function well without a goods night sleep.
Well, back to the grinding stone of toil.
Keep well everyone,
B

well done on 2 months casey...
I'm taking a break from 'vacation' planning. Mostly spending hours looking at fishing stuff. I printed the tide charts for the surrounding areas - varies by as much as fifteen minutes up and down with 10 foot tides average. Been studying harbor charts - NOAA site is sloooooooooooowwww. Copied pdf file then copied a page then zoomed and was able to make myself a set of charts around the island I'm camping on. Next is to synch my gps or at least make sure it works. It's not too reliable, - plus have compass will travel - Magnetic north is about 17 degrees shy of true north in Casco Bay in case you're interested.
FG - yes, friction grip sounds about right. It is tied similar to those chinese finger locks you get at novelty shops - sort of.
My priorities seem to be in the right place. Get my fishing act together, and soon think about getting 'other' stuff ready.
It's exciting to be planning something and not half drunk and worrying about how close a beer store will be - or a bottle store.
I am totally relaxed and not stressed one bit about this trip. If I forget something, oh well, guess it wasn't that important. Didn't even make a list, just using the old Brain brain.
Have a few things to do around the compound. And pick some blueberries to take along. Let's see how my homegrown blues stand up to the famous Maine blueberries. Hoping to catch a fish the first day so we have something to eat. A nice striper should feed us for the week. Also packing some venison back strap - just for a snack.
I'm rambling but getting a little 'excited' about 'my fishing trip' and her 'whale watching, puffin watching, tide pool watching, paddle board falling off of' trip.

Good luck to your father, Bliss. I hope it's nothing too serious. My ex husband had that surgery done a very long time ago. Barring the inconvenience of eating directly afterwards, it went well. I hope it's the same with your dad.
Brain, you sound like you're in your element with this planning. Have fun!
Lunch. Tuna macaroni salad. Not bad. Soup might be better with this chill.

Saoutchik, I have a scar on my right palm that's drink related. Crushed a wine glass during a fall when I was horsing around. Ex-boyfriend took me camping. We tipped over backwards in our chairs, and I clung to my drink like a real alchy. Guess I didn't want to waste a drop. Gashed myself open pretty deeply, and probably even needed stitches. I hate docs and hospitals so I let it heal up on its own. I don't miss those days.
