I'm happily reporting in sober yay!

Pool block party was fun then some pretty good fireworks....the same ones Art saw....no mosquito bites or ant bites which is a bonus!!

Lots of random fireworks going off here too, hippo. Hope they stop soon...I'm tired!

I'm going out on a limb here, but I think this has been the best July 4th I've had since I was a kid!

Night y'all!
Xoxo

It's interesting to me that my two cats are clueless about the fireworks. They don't hide, or startle, they're just hangin' out on the back of the couch watching TV with me.

I'm pretty sure I'll be up way past midnight. So noisy.

My dogs aren't startled either, Bim. Some dogs freak out during fireworks. Mine are calm as can be.

The cats seem to be ok too.

Good sober morning to yaz!!!!!!

Going to have tea with a friend this morning. Don't get to see her much.

Then do a double loop today. That's when I string two 3 mile trails together that form a figure eight. Nice views.

Hope everyone did well with the fireworks and holiday. It was iffy weather for us so I opted to stay home. Watched tv. I am not a crowd person and there was little reason to push myself.

I am sooooooo ready for work tomorrow.

Good work HaF!!

Glad all made it through the fourth sober. But it's not over yet. You crazy mericans can certainly stretch a celebration (excuse to drink).
Uneventful day yesterday. Damp and rainy/misty all day yesterday. Went to bed early.
Tried on my wet suit this morning - still wearing it - to see if I could zip it up. A bit snugger than when I bought it I think. Let's just say viagra is totally out of the question.
Got a lot to do to prepare for this very short notice vacation.

Speaking of steps, I power washed my front steps over a month ago and now it seems with this perpetual rainy weather I'll never get the concrete sealer applied.

I need to go to Cabelas for some fishing equipment - surf fishing's up! And I may take a fly rod to try for stripers in the back bay. I already told her I was fishing priority number one. Like when when we went to Yellowstone and I had to see every fkkking geyser there before I was "allowed" to fish. Which reminds me, I have a set of lady's waders for sale - used once.

Last night she started telling me all of the things we are going to do, tidal pools, sunrise on top of Cadillac Mountain this hike and that hike, yep, I can see this being a bad idea already. Separate vacations are not far away I'm afraid.

Thanks for the inspiration for this song this morning...

Good morning. Yes, this morning I'm really happy I made it through the 4th of July. Whew. I was up late also, lots of noise in the neighborhood.
Today should be another fun day. This has been a great weekend. Time to get some coffee.

Good morning! Sao, I'd like some of your rain. I have to water my flowers.

HaF, good for you making it through. I had niggling thoughts yesterday. Have had them all week. Saw some people gathered in the park yesterday sipping beers. It's hard to look away lately but I can't forget I can't drink.

Have fun on the hike Weas.

One cat was ok with the booming going on and the other was running around scared, clearly spooked. Poor baby. Quiet now.

So, I'm going to shower and go to a meeting and meet my friend from the meeting. And relax today.

Good morning, bus riders! It's been a busy, busy weekend. I opted to invite family over for food and fireworks last night. (No booze in the house, so no trouble) I ate a couple hotdogs (WITH ketchup), enjoyed an epic game of Jenga with my little cousins, and held my 90 year old Grandmother's hand while we enjoyed a front row seat at the neighborhood fireworks show. It was a lovely night.
I hope you're all doing well. Weasel, you make me wanna strap on my nikes and hit the trails! I may be out there this afternoon.
Pass the coffe, please. I'll put on another pot.

Conquest, sounds like a lovely evening.

I'm back from my meeting. A good way to start the day. Enjoying peace and quiet on my back porch before people realize I'm home and clamor for attention.

I think I'm going to clean the porch today. Just cluttered with stuff and a bit grimy so shouldn't take too long. Hose it off when it gets warmer. Supposed to get hot this afternoon but right now, it's lovely and quiet

Good morning y'all!

Thanks for the music Mex and Brain....I wasn't fully awake....am now.

Glad everyone had a good saturday. The niggling thoughts....yep, me too...but there were just as many people not drinking at our block party yesterday do it wasn't hard to get past. Can't remember the last time I woke up July 5 without a hangover! Woohoo!

My breakfast routine is getting boring....granola and berries...I'm in a rut.

Family birthday party this afternoon. Looking forward to pizza!

Good morning sober friends.
Learningagain "how did I get stuck with such a moron" that scene should be put into a cartoon.
Nice chill day planned. Today I'm going through the other half of me a husbands horded clothes. Funny thing is I'll be looking for the few that are mine. He's the clothes horder. The clothing donation place has no idea Christmas is coming early this year.
