Back again

Day 1 for me again. I have learned that moderation doesn't work for me... For whatever reason my 'off' switch is broken. I have learnt to accept that now. I have a lovely man by my side who has agreed to keep the house dry and also not drink for the time being. I am so grateful to him. I'm also grateful for the support here. So I've made a plan, I just won't drink that first drink, take it one day at a time, and focus on healthy habits rather than ones that are poisoning me slowly.

Hope everyone here is well

Welcome back Lexy. Acceptance of our addiction is a very important step, glad you were able to make the leap. Do you have any plans for a formal recovery program or method? I think that's fantastic that you have a supportive partner too, that will only help.

Welcome back, lexylou. That's nice you have a supportive partner.

Stay close to SR. Building accountability to myself and to others has been a cornerstone of my sobriety.
