AA International Convention Anyone Going?
 

IT is this weekend in Atlanta is anyone going? I will be there with 60,000 other sober drunks!

Not something I think I'll make!! ;)

Though happy to bump this thread for anyone thinking about it!! :)

I too wont be attending this convention
but I will share my own Experience with
the Louisiana State Conventions I went
to here in Baton Rouge.

My sponsor invited me to go with her
and work in the hospitality room setting
up the food for the folks attending the
convention for the weekend.

I would help in the morning then go home
and anxiously await for night to arrive and
head out to the convention to meet up with
many familiar faces going to make the Speaker
meetings followed by the dance later that
night.

Conventions are totally awesome. And if you
attend all 3 days, ending with Sundays last
speaker meeting, you will definitely feel
some kind of spiritual feelings or awakening.

I know I did when the speaker began to
play a song, Wind Beneath My Wings
and feelings inside me welled up giving
me goosies and tears. Joyful, grateful,
blessed feelings to be one of many that
where sober and living a recovery life.

If you have state conventions in your
own state, please experience it because
it is something to enjoy and will not disappoint. :)
