New here. Off a rough binge
I've been frequenting this forum for years now. Usually during the guilty withdrawal process. It helps reading that other have gone through the same thing. But this last 5 days were bad. I'm so afraid to go into work. Mond because of calling out for the week.

Welcome aboard.
I can relate to past guilt from calling out/missing work due to binges. It's a nightmarish feeling. Cost me a previous job eventually. It sounds like you don't want to live that way anymore, and you don't have to. Keep posting and figure out a way to quit, plenty of good advice here

Good to have you join us Jaxsyer. I've done the same thing with work. The dread and guilt were awful - that's why it feels so good to get free. This never has to happen again. We are with you.

Yeah, it was tough and I have to go in again tomorrow so I'll be getting zero sleep. I work nights and do not want to take anymore days off. Even though he has a few overtime during the day which I can't do now I suppose. Concerning? I agree... I mean what do I even say. I want to go to my primary care MD but can't even do that now with this jury thing. I yet to have talk to him about my problem but I think it's time. I've done this before.. The calling out. Since my divorce 6 months ago I have binge a few times.

No idea what your profession is but most larger companies have a very confidential and understanding policy regarding alcohol. Even smaller companies that have a boss with some compassion will allow you to heal. In all fairness I had to can 2 guys recently due to alcohol, but they were given chances to turn it around and simply didn't. But I ALWAYS give them a chance and I only have 4 full time guys.
