I've said this before on this site but I believe its true...fear can be a great motivator. If its scaring the life out of you, that's a lot of motivation to take some action. Best of luck to you.

Hello Neo. There's lots of different ways. The hardest and most important part is just taking action. I searched out and read as many resources as I could and use what resonates with me out of each.
What ever you chose, stick with it .
Good luck!

I've been in much denial for the longest time. After my last rampage I've fully accepted it. My wife just came back after leaving for about a week because of my drinking. I have to get it right this time. If not I lose everything I love and what I've worked hard for. For the first time in my life I'm saying I never want to drink again. Not oh I'm taking a break...I seriously don't want to drink again. I have a plan in place. Therapy, meds and the will to say no I don't want to drink. EVER

Yes it's scary admitting you're an alcoholic..but so much freedom in saying it too.. Glad you're here!

Admitting we have a problem with alcohol is the foundation of recovery. You are off to a great start! Seriously...a major step.
