Scotty: When you say, " I do have other issues that lead me back to drinking every time," have you ever considered that this might be a "I drink because..." thing going on with your AV whispering to you , "Oh my! They're giving you a hard time again! One little drink will make you feel better! One little one won't hurt!" And then when you've taken that "one little one" something whispers, "That felt better. Maybe we might get the old buzz back, just one more time! Say goodbye with one final buzz!" Say "goodbye" indeed! Goodbye to sobriety and hello to heartache. The way out? Tell your AV to shut up and work with other recovering alcoholics, one day at a time. Good luck.
