Hi trees! How are your little ones doing? They were sick last week if I remember. I hope they are better.

I'm hanging out at the pool. Finished clearing up one side of my house. Got sunburned arms for my efforts but it just feels nicer. I'm being dripped on at the pool. Rain is threatening.

I'm feeling awkward. A few moms I know from the kid's school sitting on the other side of pool. I said hello but I always feel I don't fit when I talk to them. They're alright but still. Hate that feeling.

I'm going to enjoy myself despite the awkwardness. See y'all later

Howdy doody folks. Late in arriving.

For all of you gardening type people (I can kill plastic plants)... I have a weird side yard that is about 10 feet wide and 30 feet long. I have never done anything with it, but now I would like to do something. Ideas?? It is on the east side of the house.

Thanks!

Art, morning glories are pretty cool. You would have to build something simple for them to climb on. I love mine. They grow really fast and are pretty hard to mess up.

Thanks GS... I went out and measured and the yard is more like 15 feet wide. I love morning glories.

All I could read was 10x30 what about some vine or flower archs so you have a trompe l'oeil effect of a long corridor going from the front to the backyard (going to the secret garden)?
Something a bit like that with maybe a bench where you can sit in the shade in the summer

Then google: fast growing climbing plants and see what you like (and is within your budget)

Lovely dog pics SP.

Hi AF, GS, Trees and everyone else!

I hope everyone is keeping well. Tis been a rainy Thursday here. Close and sultry throughout the day. Nice fire blazing now.

You doggie babies are too cute!
I love dogs; have two 16 year old Jack Russell's (short legged little girls that we brought back from Ireland), and two cardigan welch corgis mixed with who knows what that are rescues. They brighten our days and our home.
Soberpotamus I am in the Deep South too, and boy is it hot!

Glastonbury starts tomorrow! I have never been. I prefer to watch it from the comfort of my sofa. Looking forward to The Sleaford Mods, a recent addition to my music collection. Not for the faint hearted.

Congratulations BS

I am in too!

My boss reminded me last week to use my annual leave so I'm taking tomorrow off. Sleep late, then breakfast then I'm going to the hairdresser

I could get used to these four day weeks. It's nice to have a break though.

Carlotta, I guess I have to admit ... she is all grown up now Some days she still looks and acts like a puppy, and then she will turn a certain way or a certain angle and I can see she is an adult. She will be two in October. Can't imagine being without her.

Sao, yeah I guess they are We sure do baby them. They are spoiled. They act ridiculous when one of us comes home. Lots of squeals, whines, tails and butts shaking ... the older Beagle, Katie, lets out this loud cry/groan and it cracks me up so much

Ringthedoorbell ... wow, 16?! Yeah, I've read the little ones can live longer than the bigger dogs. So did you all move from Ireland?

ArtFriend, just Google for flowers that like morning sun, assuming you have a sunny spot. Or part sun/part shade if you have trees or something blocking it. Also, think about what it will look like in the dead of winter ... you might want some evergreen plants.
