Holy cow you guys talk a lot! I'm back. Ha ha.

Congrats Brain on 18 months! That's fantastic! I'm glad you shared.

I'd rather have electroshock than to regularly deal with a man with man flu. Ugh. My mother is of the if you're not bleeding, you're not hurt and if you're not throwing up, you're going to school mode. My dad on the other hand is a man flu sufferer. Mom has no patience for that.

Weasel, I'm glad the doctor could help. Still sounds painful.

Behan, I want to see the 10th century monastery. Sounds awesome.

I planted two more pots. Now that the fear and lack of energy has passed I've over done it again.

Back to planting. And I need to wash my hands and trim my nails. My mother pointed that out this afternoon. She wants me to be perfect, she said, as she scolded herself for nagging. Sorry mom, I'm only human

One of two matching pots. And I got lantana for butterflies. Thanks Trach.

Oh, and my tender hearted daughter who loves all animals told me a giant moth got in the house yesterday. "Kill it mom! Kill it!". I scooped it out on a catch and release. Sigh. How bloodthirsty.

Well my "little nap" was 3 hours long, so much for a cleaning day!

Chris Squire - Londoner

I never understand progressive rock

Barry White was supposed to sing it but was too ill. Spoonface was a good replacement

Ruby...your flower pot is beautiful. Getting your hands dirty is the fun part.
weasel...I'm glad you had the good sense to see the dr so you can feel good for your vacation.
It's hot here so I'm being lazy. Nice and cool in my bedroom so I'll see what's on tv. Maybe I'll watch that dr. Who dvd! I love sundays.

The Who have blasted every other band off the stage at Glastonbury.

Mex, I know how it feels to get that existential angst of the pull of family, friends, past, future. We just have to do our best by our parents. Distance can be hard, but at least you are on same land mass.

Well, it's Sunday night and the thread is practically over (in theory, anyway)--and I'm finally checking in! I've been really busy lately, and haven't had time to keep us, so i felt I wasn't doing you guys justice!

Made it through the weekend and going strong!

and best of all, after having a couple friends work some magic with their supervisors, I landed an interview for the exact job I want. And my buddies said they are pretty much 100% certain I will get the job!

I am so pumped and motivated and not even thinking about alcohol right now.

Hope everyone else is having a fantastic weekend!

So much good stuff here.

I'll just say "Yay!" and that should cover everything

For some unknown and I'm sure I'll be sorry for it later reason - I've had two espressos this afternoon. (How's that for a confusing sentence structure?)

Uh-boy. I'll be taking walks in the moonlight, probably.

I got my shopping done for the cats and me (food, litter, etc.) Now I need to find a binge-watch on Netflix. Oh, I think "Scandal" has a new season...and so does "Grays Anatomy," whew. So if I'm up all night, I'll be entertained.

Sometimes spaghetti sause in the crockpot comes out soooooooo good. It was phenomenal, if I do say so myself.
I ended up with a visit from an old time drinking buddy we enjoyed lemonade on my patio. She knows that I quit drinking and is cool with it. I always drank more than her anyway and she knows that. She is a good friend.
This has been another great weekend. Next weekend I'll be with family. Lots to look forward to.

This has been my first sober weekend in years. Day 4 again. Was around alcohol today and did not give in. Very depressed but sober. Good luck to all! Am in for next weekend!

Ruby, I can't see your pic for some reason but I'm sure the pot is lovely.

Congrats on the job, mns!

Glad you'll be around a while longer, Sao.

I've read all the posts but no way to respond to each of you. For once I'm glad the weekends over and I'm ready to get back to the safety of my weekday schedule.
Xoxo

Well, quite possibly made an idiot of myself, again, and not even alcohol to blame! Texted Mr. Fireman this morning saying thank you for a nice evening. He did not respond. So, around 9pm I texted essentially saying if you are not interested I understand, just let me know. Now he just texted saying he was at work (which I knew) and was busy and he is now texting me as soon as he could. I am an idiot.

Hey everyone , different day , mood has passed . Thinking about the heatwave and maybe taking some time off this week so i can properly settle in .

I paid for 2 new Maggi Hambling paintings on friday so they should turn up this week sometime so it'd be good to be at home for those .

Hope you all have a safe and sober week .
