You sure that was a toilet and not just....a hole ? Shame on you ! It's a historic, beautiful city and you go flop your remains in the nearest hole !

Tsssk...Americans !

Holy Cannoli!!!! So much to say... But most is congrats LB... 18 months. Good for you sir!!

So with the week off this week I am gonna just lay back and enjoy. The purpose of time is to learn how to use time constructively. Who am I to argue.

Saw the doc. He said I did good coming in now. I have a throat thingy that with the swelling made my ear fill with fluid. Soz easy fix now... but had I waited it would not be so good. He encouraged me to get a good workout in to make everything flow better. Again... who am I to argue.

Movies... strong winds... need to get the Pot Roast going. I add POM juice to get a good flavor going. Beats red wine.

THANK YOU all for being here this weekend. You all show what being and living sober is all about!

K

Behan I'm jealous! I love historic sites like that.

Brain, I've only seen/used one of those and I think it was in Asia... I can't remember. Not as nice as the picture you posted. I've been to Russia and most every country in eastern europe, but thankfully haven't seen any of those! Just luck I suppose

Nope. You need to have several bouts before they decide that. They are swollen and the cause of the ear issue but all manageable. I certainly could have waited to see someone but I knew something was wrong.

To be honest I wanted to protect my week off.

Pot roast in and nothing to do but lay lazily and catch up with the bus. How did the driver wind up in the rear? Don't answer that.... (Trach)

I Weasel - there are rear-drivers on those long fire trucks. Firemen seem to be a Hot Topic around here this week.

Congrats on 18 months Brain!

Ken, Hope you feel better soon and can enjoy your vacation.

I'm recuperating today after a tough few days leading up to the anniversary of my sisters death yesterday. I'm emotionally drained but sober.

Feels good to be sitting outside under the porch fans enjoying the sounds of summer and I just saw a hummingbird.....nice!
Xoxo

brynn! Glad you're getting to enjoy your evening a little bit though.

It just dropped 25 degrees and started pouring. Glad I went for that walk while I could! Only 5 hours left. Maybe it will go back to being warm ?

LOL! When I lived in South America, a lot of the bathrooms were actually holes dug in the ground with a corrugated iron "hut" built around them...I had many visions of falling in one never to be seen again, especially after drinking.

I am thinking I need a nap. I think because I went out to a bar last night, well several, my body is confused and even though I only drank soft drinks, is kindly treating me to a hangover.

I woke up this morning in a panic that is was Monday ! Then I had a phantom "hangover" for a few minutes. I guess part of my brain still has expectations about Sunday mornings. Habit.

McFearless - I even had the hangover munchies and a craving for grease. So I pigged out on leftover food and now am hanging

It is grey and miserable here today, so may as well nap!

Hi all ,
Sunday evening restlessness is with me … thinking too much about the future , wishing there were more than one of me so i could look after my mum as well as pursue my own life .

Sat here wondering if it's the right decision or not … tied into it for 6 months with the rental agreement .. wondering if i've taken a step back too far with the career …

Just need to get through the day / evening . I'm sure things will seem better tomorrow , sunday evenings were always soul suckingly empty experiences when drinking , so this is but a ghost ..

Let me go do something to get me out of thinking big pictures and into feeling now , time for a shower ..

m

Well done for not drinking Brynn hope you feel better soon.

Mecx - I think you've done the right thing - part of recovery is having a life/career of your own ans Blackpool is really not so far if you are needed for something urgent. Give it time.

Just tested my 'resting' heart rate 61/62, I might live a few more years yet
