6 months sober
6 months sober
Been a while since I posted, but I read SR daily.
Still enjoying sobriety, no hangovers, time with my husband and kids, self reflection and analyzation
Been avoiding social gatherings still. Unsure of how I will handle the drinking, scared I am going to think "I can have just one", don't want to answer questions on why I may not be drinking, still have trouble just talking in social settings
Lots of things still unsettled 6 months in. Plugging along and hopefully figuring things out. Still committed to sobriety. Bought a beautiful gem wrist bracelet. I wear it everyday as a reminder of the gift I was given, my second chance at life :-)

Great news of you reaching 6 months. I wouldn't worry about those situations too much, if your not ready don't put yourself in that spot yet.
I look forward to being at 6 months soon myself.

Great post and Congratulations on 6 months. If you are still unsure of how you'd handle a social drinking situation then I think it's smart to avoid them. As we've seen, sometimes it's the farther we get away from a drink that we can convince ourselves we don't have a problem.
Glad to hear you are still moving forward . Best wishes on your journey
