Beyond Grateful
Day 4 Off of Oxy and Alcohol. 47 next week, have been using since 19. A life spent chasing pills, period. I don't think I've had an honest happy day that wasn't chemically induced. Started and stopped so many times. I've woken up each morning for the last ten years disappointed to still be alive.
I just want to say thank you to all who've posted - I've read each and every post I can find. The difference in how I felt this morning to now is immeasurable. Addicts to addicts, sharing such truths. You've all contributed to my hope today, and commitment to live one moment at a time. Thank you, thank you.

It baffles me, now that I see it for what it was, how comfortable I became living in the fog. The fog was all I knew. I picked up at age 12.
You are on a good path; the path you were meant to be on. Stay true to it and it will guide you the right way.
That's great news. I speak for myself, but I think the other members can relate, I care about you.
Even though it's over the internet, and we've never met My thoughts are with you.
Just remember how you feel now, and realize you never have to go back to alcohol or drugs and the feeling they left you with.
Thank YOU for being here. And best to you.
