I need help with my Story Hello...I'm newly sober (34 days) and want to write my story. Does anybody have an idea on how to get started? |
Hi and congrats on 34 days! First draft, write from your heart. Just put down whatever comes to mind. I've been writing a novel now for 8 years lol it doesn't take that long, I was procrastinating. If you plan to publish, try to keep it under 350 pages. Initially, I wrote over 900 lol, editing has been heaven (NOT ;)) You can do it, just write the first sentence. Start with the first paragraph. They say if you can write 3 pages a day, you should be able to complete it in six months. Good luck with your endeavor! I'm sure it will be fantastic! |

The first line is usually the hardest. |
Three basic components to any addiction/recovery story: 1. What happened 2. What you were like 3. How you are recovering Welcome to SR, Deandilly. There is a ton of great support and wisdom to be found here. Congrats on 34 days and I hope you'll become an active member here. |
