A successful day My plan was successful today. 24 hours. All of your advice helped, very much. I went shopping at a different store than normal, with a list and my children and husband. I got an inch as we strolled past THE AISLE, but it wasn't unmanigable. I bought an gallon of ice cream instead to share with my family during movie night (which I would have probably missed by retreating to the bath with a pint glass of wine had I followed my routine). So, feeling very grateful for a day of sobriety that wasn't too difficult. Now, I'm not a fool. Not expecting ease tomorrow. It will be a new day with a new plan. But that is my plan, to have a new plan every day. Thank you all! |
It won't always be easy but it will be worth it (as the old saying goes). |
I just think of when i collided with the earth, bounced my head off it while hitting bottom, the wreckage and guilt, it keeps me sober, i hope you never feel that.. |
Congrats on 24 hours and I'm glad you're building some accountability here to yourself and to others. |
Now that's a plan in action!! Great job!! :You_Rock_ |
Good for you, Faker! :) |
Glad you're doing well Faker :) D |
Way to go Faker |
Way to go Faker!!!! Very proud of you for getting past 'that aisle'. Eventually it will become much easier. Enjoy your movie night! The best thing about it is you will remember it in the morning too! :herewego |
Way to go - Faker... your wine habit sounds so much like mine, it's eerie. I'll be saying a special prayer for you while I pray for myself to stay sober. |
Nice work Faker! Tomorrow is a new day. Enjoy it with a clear head. OMB |
thanks everyone. Had another good one today. Travelled all day with my family today and only had a quick craving when we were getting some lunch at a store and there was a big display of wine unexpectedly right when we walked in. I hurried past and when we finished I went out the doors at the other end of the shop. |
