Hello,
This is my first post here. I have been successfully alcohol free now for 27 days as I type this after nearly 40 years of binge drinking. I would say I am a "high functioning" problem drinker (if there really is such a thing) in that I have for the most part managed quite well in my years of drinking to excess. Better than some worse than others anyway but still I have grown weary of my drinking. Already I can see my life has improved drastically for the better in the last 27 days. Now I am a little puzzled why I waited so long. Weird.

Take all the time you need to get familiar with SR. Lots of different forums covering lots of different issues.
