You have the Power Sober Weekender Thread June 11....
I'm up for it. Turning 40 on Sunday. Really don't want to be a drinker after this milestone. This will be my first non drinking weekend in 11 months. For nearly every week for this time I've said I'll stop, failed every time. I have a plan. I will execute that plan. Failure is not an option and I won't fail.
Mind sharing the plan?
I could have written this post when I started back in 2012. I spent many many excited Friday's... And many many regretful Monday's.
This thread helps me. I want to see if we can help you. Post when you want to drink. Share what's going on. Nothing is to boring to post. We have a great sober group of weekenders and what a great feeling it will be when you start a new week sober!

Oh my...yes indeed
One such a person screamed at me in the parking lot of Whole Foods (a.k.a. Whole Paycheck) yesterday in front of her two small daughters. she thought I had honked at her but it was the guy behind me who honked. This woman was nuts. I calmly told her it wasn't me and started walking into the store and she followed me, yelling all the way. Finally I turned to her and said "Is this the example you want to set for your kids?" That shut her up.

Hello from the hot and humid South Caribbean. I've had a very peaceful week, enjoyed tons of time on the bike and out in the water. I was able to make it out to a Wildlife Refuge on the Panama border where I snapped some cool pix the other day:

I'm in. Just need to say if you post pictures of or write the word [email protected]€on, I will not be clicking thank you button for your post. My pig said he will not be allowing me to give him a belly rub if I do. Looking forward to another hangover free weekend.

Wow BigS, fantastic photos! Those are lovely.
ArtFriend, that was the perfect way to handle that crazy mother. I may have inserted "I'm sorry you're having a hard day."
Daz, what Weasel said. You can get through this sober. If you are having cravings, post them. Takes the wind out of their sails.
Gilmer, what's up with that? Sleeping in?
Arrived at work. I've got so much to do at home. Not feeling the urge to be at work.

Actually, I woke up in the middle of the night and surfed here a bit. I did check here to see if Weasel might have faked us out by starting the thread at midnight--but, alas, no.
After an hour I went back to sleep and turned off the alarm.

Big Somb, bike, beach south Caribbean - it sounds wonderful
Way to go daz135 - you can say you quit drinking in your 30s
No drinking dreams last night thankfully Having fun today at Le Mans before 2nd practise at 6.00pm local time. Seen some previous winning cars plus some other old classics (not seen anything with Saoutchik coachwork yet).

Saoutchik, your comment on Christopher Lee made me laugh out loud. It is sad that he died but really, it seems he had a marvelous and long life. He will be resurrected in replays of his Dracula movies, I'm sure.

No matter what. Yup. That's the answer. Well, the answer is 42, but that's the second answer.
In after a night where I had trouble going to sleep because I was worrying about someone else's problems. Again. When will I learn?
My life is fine - so why do I go looking for things to worry about. Oy, bim. Cut that out!!
Man, do I want to move to Panama.
