You have the Power Sober Weekender Thread June 11....

Oh man! I just Googled Anthony Weiner. He posted THAT and his surname is Weiner. Fact is stranger than fiction.
That Portland music festival looks pretty busy, hope the weather stays good. How was Tommy?
Had a couple of hours sleep, could have slept more but then I would struggle to sleep tonight, early start home tomorrow.

Finished my weekend project and here it is

It's purple salvia. I'd already planted it about a month ago, but I just spent the weekend digging out all the grass, putting down some gardening soil, and the pine bark mulch. My husband was pretty impressed
He is outside cutting the grass right now, and there are some of the grass clippings in the pics.
This nice, cold peach-pear La Croix seltzer is hitting the spot.
If I feel up to it, I'm going to start on another flower bed closer to the house.

I'm having no luck coming up with a plan today, so my guess is that it will be the same as usual. That is a 15 minute drive to the park, a 25 minute walk down the hill through the trees to the salt water beach. An hour in the sun reading my mystery novel, and back home.
I love stressless routine. In the meantime I'm watching kayakers and bicyclists/runners on the river trail outside my condo. I love my life.

I'm a whatever is on sale gal. It's a holdover from childhood trauma of not being able to use them because they were too expensive. So my mom saved them for company. They had designs of roosters on them. lol

Sao...thought of you and mecanix last night....two Englishmen at the party started arguing over accents and Liverpool or something ( i lost the plot after that) anyway, that's how I imagine y'all sound....minus the drunk slurring of course.
Have a safe trip home!
Art...is it raining at your house? It is here yay!
I'm tired of wieners and I want a cherry tree. Cherries are too expensive at the store.
Lovely hippo!!!

Tanning, weiners and paper towels. Hmm.
I'm finally home from my trip to Target. What a nightmare. I tried paying for my purchases using my ATM debit/credit card and it was refused!!! That's always embarrassing. I didn't have my regular credit card either. Logged onto bank account via phone and saw five transactions I know I didn't make. Called bank and learned they put a fraud hold on my card. Someone got hold of my number and made a fake card. Sigh. I know I wasn't shopping in Texas or Georgia yesterday. The bank will give me my money back but it's a gigantic hassle. I'm just grateful the bank caught it before I did. McDonald's and Walmart. Sheesh.
I'm cleaning now. Back to work

That looks great soberpotamus. If you like the purple, angelonia works great down here too. I agree, a little new mulch works wonders.
That's scary Ruby, I'm afraid things like that are gonna get more common. Sometimes I just want to use cash.

I googled the Angelonia - I really like it!
Yes, please, give me suggestions on what to add to the mailbox garden. I was also thinking of a mix of different yellow daylilies - to stagger them, so that I have early, mid, and late season bloomers. I thought the yellow & blue/purple would be striking.

Congratulations on 2000 AF
Those Salvin are good idea Soberpotamus
Brynn - if you get two Englishmen together there is always a 50/50 chance of an argument over football. Strange when you consider how useless we are at it
