Hiya gang. Day 33 here. Still here and still on the mend. Sometimes it hurts to heal. Really. I had some kind of "Rash" all over my body that the Doc's could not figure out what was. One said Psoriasis, another said Shingles and yet another just called it Acute Contact Dermatitis. All I know is it itches like h*ll and still does. It has mostly resolved but I Still itch ! ALL OVER !!!
While in the hospital I could NOT get warm...and guess what they had me "Rub down" with? A Menthol/Camphor lotion that freezes (or feels like it) as it dries it starts to feel a little warmer when dry . I was in pure agony ! Imagine laying in bed with 5 blankets on you and STILL not able to get warm ! I was a mess !
Then the Edema (swelling from water retention) started from my low Sodium level. I'll tell you about that next installment. It's interesting. Want to know how it feels to gain 44 Pounds (US) body weight in less than 3 days?
I'll tell you next time.

Doesn't sound like the hospital was a fun experience at all. 
I hope whatever is going on with your skin resolves soon. Taking an oatmeal bath can be very soothing (put oatmeal in a sock, tie off the top of the sock and drop it in the water). I've had hives and the oatmeal bath helped a lot.

Hiya Gang...Day 41 here...but, Hey, Who's counting ? LOL I'am starting to settle into this Sobriety thing and forming some new...good habits.
They say change is soooo hard just starting out...and it IS...BUT...the longer you embrace the change, the easier it becomes. After a while...the "New" becomes the SOS. (Same ole' ****). Thats when NOT drinking is the "New Norm".
On my last post I made mention of what does it feel like to lose 44 pounds of body weight in 3 days???...Well...actually it feels GREAT !!! the real test is to be able to gain 44 pounds and remember how misreable THAT felt ! It is really hard for me to comprehend that I actually had 5 GALLONS US of water in me !!!
Where did I put it??? ALL OVER ! I "Blowed Up" like a BLIMP ! 
We tend NOT to be able to remember pain...but I remember it ALL so very clearly !... not being able to move...roll over in bed...the EFFORT it took just to get OUT of bed...OMG !!!...could'nt walk down the hall 50 feet with out getting winded and having to hold onto something...Scarey !
It was frightening...but the goodnews is...When they started giving me the IV Diuretics...I ran like a "Race Horse" for the next 3 Days !!!
More on that later.
