4 days off the bottle
Completed four days alcohol free and feeling good.
Can't believe I've been asleep and have been missing the beauty of living for so long.
It was a public holiday so had the day off from work. Was a bit nervous to be honest. Had no plans and was worried about finding something to do and having the loneliness set in. Luckily a new friend called and me to join a group for hiking in the mountains. It was fantastic and being in nature and around people reinforced how much beauty there is to be found in life when you are aware. I almost felt like it was the universe looking out for me and sending me this experience to reinforce the positive steps I'm taking in my life to come back down to planet earth and really feel what it is like to be alive.
Feeling grateful.

I always notice the beauty of the early morning when I get a chance to walk my dogs early am. The peace and quiet. Sometimes it's foggy and then it looks so mysterious.
It's amazing what we've been missing while we were drinking.
