Paws
Thanks CountryGirl for posting, it has started a useful thread for me. I'm on my longest (and hopefully final) stretch of sobriety in nearly 30 years and I'm on day 114, nearly four months, a record for me.
Not sure if it was PAWS but from about day 70 to 90 I had a rough time of it. I was depressed, couldn't concentrate, low energy and that led to me stopping exercising and eating poorly which only served to multiply the effect I'm sure.
It was a white-knuckle ride for a while but I stuck it out and then, quite quickly, moved out of it. I've been a lot better lately though now my sleep is messed up quite badly with not being able to get to sleep. I realise this may be the same thing in a different form however. I'm back to exercising and a better diet and can concentrate and am now longer depressed.
I find the whole PAWS thing logical and compelling but do worry a bit about the lack of hard evidence and data (I'm a scientist/academic so that's what I look for). I do know that the challenges will keep on coming and will change their form and nature as I go along on this journey. I also know that each day I grow I get a bit stronger to face them.
Good luck,
Esox
