Jon's accountability thread

I made this to be accountable.
I am grateful I went to a live face-to-face meeting this morning. It's the last day of school for the kids here.
I had not been to a meeting in 2 months.

Nice job Jon. What are you going to do this weekend to stay sober?

Good job! Making ourselves accountable on a daily basis is key, I think ;-)

Thepatman yes, having this thread compels me to be on SR more often.

Teebee, I might stay glued to the boob tube all weekend long . In spring and summer I don't read - books or anything . I also like AM radio - for all the sports - in English and Spanish .
I live in Houston and the teams are doing fantastic .

Rockets, Astros, Texans, Dynamo

Reading posts and posting myself are fabulous, for staying sober. I hope that most of us are here for that .

I went grocery shopping today , and had the greatest time. I also have a thing for the cashiers there.
And mind, this is a store with no alcohol.
No 6-pack as part of the groceries.
I even shop 24 hour stores after midnight, where no one has a case or a box of alcohol right there.
I had done that 'department store drunk' thing on more than one occasion.

Right now, I have my television on religious programming. Some of the kids and their Moms are discussing their faith all summer long.

I am reminded to Step 11 and pray, myself. And throw in Meditating.

I am vegan.
It helps if I'm alcoholic, which I am.
Meat is a toxin to my system.
I ingest it, and then I enter anaphylactic shock.
My symptoms:
Swollen, choking throat and tongue, short panting breaths, nausea, diarrhea.

I look for adrenalin.
A cola.
But usually I would drive extra fast to the corner store for beer.
Adrenalin.

Houston gets hot in summer.
As part of my sobriety "toolkit" I take some liquids for hydration.
Soy sauce
Ice cold buillion (it exits my nose)
Lemonade mix ( it makes me thirsty)

I had an AA dream today.
I feel like I read the GrapeVine.
I feel like I made their coffee.
I feel like I went to 90 meetings in 90 days.

Since I'm Vegan, I just learned about Omega 3 supplements which are vegetarian:
Omega 3 made from algae ( fish food)
Omega 3 flaxseed oil

Hint, traces of alcohol

Just found out online that my spit tobacco (dip) contains ethyl alcohol.
Just found out my peppermint candy has alcohol from extracting leaves.
No mouthwash. Too many traces of alcohol.
No alcohol based perfumes, colognes, parfums , eau de toilette.

Today is Juneteenth, black emancipation day. I live in a predominantly black neighborhood, but not so, for the entire city. Some of my black friends are wanting to compare
Hazelden
And
AA conference approved literature

I feel Step 12 and
Carrying the message.
