New and looking for help
m 23 from the UK, mum to a 4 year old anam really struggling
Ive been trying to free from my cannabis addiction for at least a year now, it started when I was 17 and has slowly grown from there, only time I had a break was the 9 months I was pregnant with my son, after having him I managed to rope it down to 2 a night but as he's got older and been out of the house more (nursery, with family members) i've started smoking in the day whilst he's not in and I'm petrified of it escalating to the point I'm back to square one before I had him.
My main problem is his dad, he's always been there for us but is a truly chronic smoker, he'll have a single skine one an hour throughout the day and then more of a night, he often just stays in the house and I feel like I can't quit whilst I'm having to roll for him and be stuck in the same routine.
I love my son more than anything and after having my mother spend all of my childhood with hotknives on the stove n a block of rocky always being burned I know how disasterous this can end up and I want it to stop before it gets that far, I figured I'm not going to get any support from his father so I'd try here.
So that's my story, feel better already for having it written out, and hopefully I can help some other people along their journey as I go through mine

I smoked pot for 30 years or so...best thing I ever did giving that and the booze up...I got my life back

I've only been using for 6 years (saying only but appreciate that's a fair amount of time) so to hear that people can have been using for 30yrs n overcoming it is a great help, this is why I joined, congrats btw that's a massive achievement
