Welcome!!! June is a perfect time to start over, right here and now! Let this summer be your new beginning. I made that decision last year in June. Wishing everyone struggling the strength to choose sobriety and give up being a slave to your addiction. It will change your life. You will find a lot of support here.

I'm ready! I was a member of the April 2014 class who is still struggling over a year later. Over the last year, I'd pop into SR for a day or two only to fall back off. This time, I've been sober for several days before checking back in here, just to be sure I'm ready. And I am!
I've gone to meetings, and for the first time I've told a couple friends that I've quit and why. I've always avoided talking about it so I could slip back whenever I wanted. Now, I'm doing everything I can to keep myself on point and accountable.
Let's do this!

I'm in again. Last drink was midnight June 1st, so 12 hours ago.
Was planning this, but last night at 2am got a pretty rude awakening due to a medical issue I've been having for 4 days now, which may have scared me sober. Hopefully it clears up in the next couple days, as the body can't function like this too long.
Good news is, there's no way I could drink right now even if I wanted to. There's no way my body would accept it.

Been lurking in wait for this thread. 2 days sober. I'm so tired of this pattern I'm in. Ready to stay sober for good and can't believe I first joined in june 2011. Proper month to make it stick I suppose!

Welcome blackbird. Yeah, I'm getting pretty tired of the pattern myself. Sober up for a while, feel great, then just start pounding the booze back again.
Let's hope this is both of our last attempts!
I think I'll make a cup of green tea, then sit out in the yard, and sweat like a pig until I can't take it any more.
