Day 1 at last!
 

Hey everyone,

Been trying to sort a home detox sorted for about five weeks now and now the day has come.

Battled through the day till now with terrible anxiety but the meds have finally arrived!

Im on a seven day taper of valium to help with the alcohol withdrawals.

Looking forward to a sober weekend, first in many many months.

Hang tough Hopscotch.

Congrats HS! My morning of clarity came 3 days ago but I do know THAT feeling of" I can do it if I just knock down 24".

Well its nearly time for bed. No cravings at all but feel a little low which is unlike me. Sure it will pass.

Congrats! Glad to hear you made it through Day 1.

Sounds like you already saw a doctor, so that's a great first step.

I second checking out the weekend thread that's going on... great, fun stuff in there!

Not asleep yet. Just had my last dose of meds. Working on sleeping!

Well I made it through day 1! Only four hours sleep and do feel a little groggy but I think thats due to the meds.

No withdrawal symptoms apart from me over thinking that I might have a convulsion.

Had a small amount of craving this evening but took the dog for third walk today and now relaxing in front of the tv. End of day 2.
